Zones of regulation
In the second semester, we learn about the zones of regulation. According to developer Leah Kuypers, "The Zones of Regulation is a systematic, cognitive-behavioral approach used to teach us how to regulate our feelings, energy and sensory needs in order to meet the demands of the situation around us and be successful socially. "
During Morning Meeting we check in and ask what zone are you in and how do you feel?
The response might be: "I am in the blue zone, I feel tired." Or, "I am in the green zone. I feel ready to learn."
