It is my desire to create an effective classroom climate. By designing specific classroom behavior expectations (Be kind, Be safe, Be respectful, and Be Responsible) I hope to teach the students how to treat one another. Through the toolbox of self regulation strategies, I hope to teach the students strategies to use such as “breathing tool--I can calm myself” or “garbage can tool- I let the little things go.” Through these classroom rubrics, I hope to optimize their potential to access the curriculum and thereby increase learning.
